Bleeding heart tattoo design-what colors should I use?

Ok I'm wanting a tat with two bleeding heart flowers on a branch, one for my son and the other for another person. Bleeding hearts symbolize undying love. One of them is going to be red, but obviously my son isn't a romantic love, so his can't be red. I was thinking white at first, as it would symbolize his innocence (he's a baby right now), but I know just a solid white would probably be tough for a tattoo. What color do you think I should make the other?
