Horrible toothache....oh please help...?

Today I went to the dentist.He said it was an infection in my molar that would require endodontist.He gave me Vicodin and Amoxcillin 500 mg.I still am writhing in intense pain until my appt.tomorrow...will the Amoxicillin kill the infection soon? I doubled the Vicodin....nothing helps!!!
