When a tree is cut(not uprooted) does it grow back from wher it has been cut??
Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. It all depends on the location and how hard you try to keep it alive. Usually, the farther down it's been cut, the less of a chance it will grow back from that location. Also, if you cut it at an angle rather than just straight across it will have a better chance of growing back. Meaning, if you cut it flat out, like, where each side has a right angle when you look at it, it will have a less chance of growing back then if you were to cut it at an angle meaning one side is an obtuse angle, the other is an acute. It also depends on how young the tree is. Usually trees are already dead and people just don't know it yet. The younger the tree the better chance it has of living. Usually, if you give it about two or more feet to grow, in a tree under 30 years, it'll grow back with care. I hope I was able to help.
