Do I have a case against Nordstrom?
I was a sales ociate at Nordstrom for 8 months. I was known for being the bubbly girl. I had very good sales. I was number one in the store many times. My store manager loved me. I was also the youngest person working there. One night I was closing and had to take somethings to the back stock room. One of my co-workers/friend was closing the cafe. I asked if he would get me a water before I went back up to my department. When I turned around after he handed me the water. He grabbed me by the and pulled me close to him. He told me there were no cameras and we could have some fun in the corner. "WE CAN HAVE A QUICKY." I pushed him off of me and he grabbed me again. I told him to screw off. I went back to my department, freaking out. I was 18 then. Now I am 20. The next day I went to HR with my statement typed up. My HR manager told me she would have to investigate. She talked to the guy and of course he denied everything. Saying he just asked me for my number. 2 weeks went by and the guy was still taunting me. Nothing had changed. Then my manager decides to switch the days I was working without me knowing and I wasn't called. So I was considered a "No call, No show." I found this out the day I was supposed to work when I walked in shopping for my birthday dress. I was devastated that no one had called. The next day I go in like I was supposed to open, and my manager calls me to her office. She told me I could go home, and that she had already replaced me. That I could look to see if another department was hiring. I asked her why she was doing this, and if she thought she was doing the right thing. She said i could go talk to HR. I told her I quit. And I left. A week later I was mailed termination papers. I was so upset, I threw them away. I want to know if I have a case? I know I have waited a long time. But I was very upset about what had happened. And the guy still works there. I feel this is unjust.
